Don't make Youtube your job
A lot of youtube content creators have the issue that they start to see YT as their primary, and only career. YT is competitive platform and thus appeals to career-driven people, unfortunately it is a meta-stable position: Most skills related to YT are not transferable to the professional world. Basically, always have a plan B because if this is your only plan you'll be starting from 0 in the real world once fame fades. The second issue is getting too personal with fans and letting them obtain emotional control over you. This is a HUGE mistake because a crowd of people has a very withdrawn sense of empathy and a reductionist world view. This isn't because crowds are made of bad people but because crowds are formed on the basis of consensus, the empathetic part just averages out to white noise.
