Hello and welcome back to Lord Fenton Gaming Plays Baldur's Gate 3. I am your Lord Fenton. In this Baldur's Gate III New Player guide, I will show you all on how to survive the world of Baldur's Gate 3. This includes classes, races, character creation, combat tactics, alchemy system, dialog system and much more. Do not Panic at all. Help is on the way in this Baldur's Gate 3 New Player video guide. Note: Make sure you pick the class your tailor too. Once that is done use the ability score to match the class to go with it. IE Paladins are Strength and Charisma while Wizards and Intelligence and Dexterity for example. The subclasses are in this section too. Remember that Warlocks, Sorcerers, Bards and Rangers you have to select their spells by leveling up not change them in and out in the spell book like the other classes. So pick wisely on those spells. If you mess up it's level up to change the spells in and out OR respec your character which cost 100gp.

Note- Please note that potions are one time use. Elixirs are constant on your character until you do a long rest. Elixirs are one at a time only. Oils and Poisons are used to coat your weapon. Yes you can coat a range weapon.

Note: I didn't mention this here about spells is this. You will roll a 1d20 dice attempt to resist a spell. It's just like the armor class except it is to either resist the spells effects, damage or both. There are feats that can negate the damage IE a dex saving throw goes your way against magic you take no damage. A DC roll can look like this 8 + Proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability mod. If a wizard their Int mod for instance is 4. It would look like this 8 + 2 + 4. So do be careful against spell casters. Resistance and ect do apply to magic.
