"Don't Shoot Me" by Ninja (Rick's Master 1)
This is an original song recorded by the Seattle rock band Ninja in 1984, named after and inspired by the title of one of Elton John's albums. Keyboardist Joel Brazy uploaded and shared this song on his soundcloud so I recorded the audio from streaming and ran the song through the Ozone mastering plugin for ProTools to make it louder and more balanced.
Lead singer and trumpet player Kerry Mogen (second from the right side of the picture with the white jacket) does an excellent job singing on this song as well and has some really good trumpet playing too. Joel Brazy does a really great job playing the piano parts on this song as well.
This is the third of 3 songs found in a mixing console by the band's engineer so I would consider it a short EP.
In the tags I am listing every listed member of Ninja on the PNWbands website. Other than Kerry and Joel, I am not sure who else was in the band at this time. I am also not sure if the version of Ninja that featured singer Jimmy Boyle and drummer Jeff Angel contained any of the members from this band Ninja as they were not credited there, but I have seen their Ninja band poster.
