Hello. We're now doing 2nd map of the UCA-series, which has been made by Eddie Nguyen. This one probably has the original date on it, as do the two maps after this for this series.
As this is part of a series, you're normally supposed to have weapons from previous level already, but as a stand-alone level, you only get the starting weapons and a shotgun, which will make this one harder, but not overly difficult.
I'd recommend getting berserk at start, so you can punch most of the non-hitscan enemies out of the way and save your shells for everything else.
Another problem was the difficulty of finding the way to Blue Key.
Button thrown into dark corner after a long poison corridor and room in an area, which doesn't look or feel crucial for progression, wasn't a great choice.
On top of that, you also have a suit on the other side of the bridge, which might make you jump down for it, but then you're stuck down there, if you haven't pushed the button in the poison room... So, that's even worse choice there!
Once you get Blue Key, you should be fine till the end, tho.
Despite you having just shotgun and berserked fists, it's not that difficult level to beat.
It doesn't look too great, but the early ones rarely did.. Just that row of blood flowing wall-texture struck me as bad, even for '94 level, heh.
It was also a bit strange to have few of those rooms without secret marker in them, which are like secrets.
On a positive note, adding berserk was a good move and the trap at the end was quite decent.
Otherwise it's rather usual type of action.
