Having maxed a few Jenesis maps, I at least had to try and beat somebody's time. I thought map 15 looked pretty cool, and thought I could give Altima Mantoid's 7:13 a go. Of course, I knew I had to play ultra aggressively, and as such it took a lot of hours before I got my first exit at 6:53. Thought it was decent, and it beat my first goal of getting under 7:00, but I knew I could do better.

Some time later, while grinding, I saw something very interesting. In the corridor area near the beginning, where you get the rocket launcher, every once in a while (maybe once in 20 attempts), the Baron goes back out the door you come from, and attacks the mancubi there. This saves roughly 15 seconds, but it's very dependent on luck - there seems to be very little that can make a Baron turn around and retaliate instead of coming after you. It didn't happen in this run though, so I'm very happy that I still got to 6:37, since 6:40 was my goal. I missed two or three SSG shots, but otherwise, I think it's a solid run.

There were no major changes to AM's approach, the biggest being that I ran straight for the rocket launcher instead of clearing the starting rooms, hoping to maximize infighting. I also generally left monsters alone to bicker amongst themselves until I left the room for the last time. A few other tweaks here and there. The route remained basically unchanged.
