the last level! and a crappy fight too! the final boss is just about timing rocket shots into a slot but overall I enjoy doom 2 much more than doom the levels are generally larger,play faster and have tons more enemies and the overall game flows a lot faster and I think that's mostly due to the super shotgun since in doom if you weren't using plasma weapons or the rocket launcher against the larger enemies you would have to spend time firing away with just the shotgun or chaingun making barons of hell and cacodemons bullet sponges and slowing down the overall game if you didn't run past them while in doom 2 these enemies are easily killed by 2 or 3 blast from a super shotgun and at the same time the game adds many medium enemies that have lower health but hit just as hard as higher up enemies making it possible to have many of them but not slow down overall game play simply due to the fact the super shotguns ammo is always readily available and just as strong as a rocket while plasma weapons and rockets can run low after a few levels due to the ammo for it being more scattered and at the same time since there's large amounts of enemies or slightly stronger enemies mixed with weaker ones using the bfg or rocket launcher benefits more than in the original doom where if it wasn't cacodemons or barons of hell it would mostly be used to speed up killing groups of enemies that would easily be handled by a chaingun but yeah thanks for watching!
