The comparison is not fair. I played the level -- first with a mouse, than with gamepad. With second run and with gamepad I could anticipate some of the enemy spawns making the game play seem to be much easier. So the video is not that objective -- but you can see pretty fast that mouse is definitely more accurate than a gamepad - specially when you compare the reaction times and aiming and landing the bullets to enemies.

I've been playing with a gamepad for a year and it was pretty hard to get accustomed back to mouse. Doom is pretty well optimized for gamepads. I always disable the aim-assist cause I want to prioritize the monsters.
