Doom 3 BFG Part 7: Depressingly poor gameplay.

Also, I'm sorry for the excessive swearing.
But really, the insane amount of ammo, coupled with the depressing lack of thrills makes this... Doom, but with less enemies to shoot. Which is sad, because Doom was all about shoot ALL the enemies ALL the time. There were no long, meaningful pauses or exciting elevator rides that required multiple inputs to go anywhere.
When you have full ammo and buffed up health and armour, this game is sad. Combined with a powerful flashlight, the entirity of the game is just easy and sad. There aren't enough enemies to justify death, and those enemies are pretty easy and sad in and of themselves. The Cacodemons couldn't last long enough to set up a decent attack, the Wraiths hug your face long enough for a flurry of shotgun shells.
Worse yet, the Demons are content doing a long and pointless intro so you can shotgun them to death before they even get the CHANCE to attack.
Doom 3 is a good SCARY game, but BFG sucked out the scary. What remains is an easy, disinteresting game with nice art assets.
