Doom 3 - Lost Mission Any% Single-Segment speedrun in 19:29
11An update for my Lost Mission run.
I took the improvements Lekolega made and improved on them even further.
Some changes were made to Enpro 1, Enpro 2, Underground 2, Hell and Hell Outpost.
Besides that most of the timesaves comes from improved movement as well as better weapon and enemy management.
For the last eight weeks I have been working on this, I have encountered three major resistances.
The first obviously for getting back into the game.
The second at 19:43, where I have started to change the way I'm approaching the runs.
The third at 19:35, which has led to my understanding of how much of runs I should even do (basically managing my supply of neurotransmitters for better signal quality).
I've learned a lot about how do speedruns from this experience alone, which should be quite helpful for things to come.
For this run particularly, I can be quite satisfied with how it is and how much of my current potential I have fulfilled with it.
Only very minor mistakes throughout the run.
The sum of best stands at 19:17, so there is only 1.5 seconds of timesaves left for every level on average.
For the interested ones, I will upload my best segments as IL runs.
With that said, it is time to focus on the next run.
