DOOM 4 | Nightmare | Mission 3 - Foundry / Meltdown - Hell Knights | Let's Play - Gameplay
7Welcome to the Foundry Doom Marine, the demons have somehow turned of the turbines in the reactor inside the Foundry! Without them it whole Mars Base will blow up because of Meltdown! Clear the facility and turn back the turbines!

Welcome everybody! To Let's Play DOOM 4 Mission 3 – Foundry on Nightmare difficulty, part 3. The demons are starting to play with the systems controlling the Mars base in DOOM 4 or somebody is helping them. Is it Olivia ? even she would not be that crazy to blow up the entire base because of the meltdown that will happened to the reactor if we won’t trun on the turbines! However the security systems have locked the turbine room and first we need to do a little clearing!
In DOOM there are things called Gore Nests hard to say exactly what does things do. But in the Foundry we can find 4 of them in total and in order to complete mission 3 we need to destroy all of the Gore Nests inside the Foundry! Now that would not be hard if the places already didn’t start to collapse! First we need to look for a handy tool… well hand to be exact. DOOM 4 is a gore game! Especially on Nightmare difficulty! We die often we die quick! Tearing our head by mistakes aswell! Watch out for those explosive barrels! Near one of the Gore Nests in mission 3 as they will make a chain reaction and blow up the entire room! In mission 3 of DOOM 4 we also meet up with a new type of enemy! Hell Knights! Those monsters are heavily armored and have a lot of hit points! However they do not posses any range attack! The entire level in mission 3 of DOOM 4 is open to us a some point so kite the enemy around if You have to! Remember to the Gore nests rooms will lock when You trigger it. The Hell knights will perform a very strong melee attack so keep Your distance at all cost! All of the Gore nests are located in small rooms expect for the last one as it is located at the very bottom of Mission 3 inside the Foundry of DOOM 4. However the room is filling with lava or molten waste from the reactor and if You slip there will be only one way out of that place and that means loading the last checkpoint of Mission 3, remember that on Nightmare difficulty the imps of DOOM 4 will one shot You if the charge the big fireball attack! Avoid it! Jump as soon as the ball is casted or just keep jumping in general and move sideways! If You rush on a already casting imp he will kill You! The Shotgun once again is the most useful tool inside the Foundry! But keep that assault rifle close! For weapon upgrades I suggest to take the mini rockets as they will be useful for takeing down the Hell Knights till we get a better weapon in DOOM 4. The Secrets are quite obvious to find even for somebody like me, the secrets in the foundry are just around. So stick the walls/barriers and jump everywhere You can! As always in each mission of DOOM 4 there are two space marine dolls or toys to collect along with the classic DOOM level! Just look for a lever to activate the hidden level inside the foundry! After takeing care of all the gore nests in Mission 3 the turbine room will unlock! Go inside this is where the true fight starts. The demons will detect You try to activate the turbines to stop the meltdown! Kill them as they spawn! Remember to keep range from the Hell knights as they will charge and rush to You! Just keep moving the most key element in nightmare difficulty of DOOM 4 is constant moving around and jumping!
