It looks like it's been known for a long while that you can obtain the Soulsphere in MAP32: Hectic. It just needs a bit of skill to also avoid getting stuck into the trap it springs. During this stream, I attempted to pull it off, and was surprisingly successful after a couple of tries. What I didn't realize is that, once the ceiling trap is sprung, like 90% of the map's other trigger points no longer do. Once the ceiling trap finishes, they will work again. This means that while it's active, two of the map's keys can be obtained without triggering enemy spawns or room changes. Neat!

You still have to get the Yellow Key legitimately, as that room isn't affected. Also, if you pick up the Megaarmor, it will no longer telefrag you instantly. However, you will teleport back to that point, and become stuck once the ceiling trap finishes up. No choice there but to restart. The ceiling trap also disables the Exit switch behind the key barriers, so no grabbing that armor, and exiting that way. The Exit teleporter still works, but using that after getting the keys is kind of pointless.
