Since I got a second N64 GameShark Pro v3.3 for Christmas:
(which I used with the daisy chain method to fix the other one that was apparently semi-locked when I first got it (in other words, that GameShark needed a game with a specific keycode to operate)).

I'm able to utilize GameShark codes on authentic Nintendo 64 hardware. So I decided to see if I can get Doom 64 to crash on an actual N64.



I played on the Dark Citadel map rather than the Spawned Fear map because with the latter, you have to lag the game up significantly without the Pain Elemental finishing being spawning in, and it's only possible at that one time, whereas in Dark Citadel, it's trivial to do because you can utilize the room with the darts and activate the trap as many times as you like.

So I went there, and while using the Unmaker with the Have All Artifacts and Rapid Fire GameShark codes turn on, I used the switch to have the dart trap activate, then I simply let loose and rapidly fired at nothing, and it worked! And it crashed the same way as Spawned Fear with the Z_Malloc error.

On my CRT TV, it was a black screen all around, but on my capture card, it showed the text at the top (I'm using an S-Video splitter).

So yeah, it's pretty cool to see what it looks like on the N64.
