Shows a rarely-seen instance in Doom 64 where Pain Elementals attempt to launch Lost Souls but cannot, a situation that essentially makes them harmless. This was recorded on level 24, No Escape, at Skill 4, 'Watch Me Die!'.

In Id Software's original Doom II game, Pain Elementals normally attack by launching 1 Lost Soul at a time. But they are unable to attack if there are 21 or more Lost Souls already present on the level. The launch animation is shown, but no Lost Soul is generated.

In Doom 64, Pain Elementals typically launch 2 Lost Souls at a time, but they can't attack if there are already 18 or more Lost Souls on the level. If there are only 17, a Pain Elemental can launch 1, but won't be able to attack again until an existing Lost Soul expires.

There are a few other levels in the game where this can technically occur, but this level was chosen since it allowed a fairly quick and reliable demonstration.

When playing this level at Skill 4 there are 15 Lost Souls already present at the start. Killing the Mancubus monsters on the rising/falling platforms will cause more enemies to spawn into the level, including 7 more Lost Souls, bringing the total to 22.
