I discovered a jump trick, which led to this. Had to get a good time for myself, and it's one of those jumps that could be overlooked if you aren't watching for it. Seems almost effortless, but I will say this, it is NOT an easy jump to recreate.

I'd say below a minute is possible by a better speedrunner with better luck than myself.

Description:

So I discovered a neat time-saving jump trick by sheer accident here. Instead of pressing the switch and then having to run back to go through the door, I use the tiny rise in the floor to launch myself through the window instead, saving probably 3 - 4 seconds or so. Pretty tough jump to achieve because there really isn't a need to strafe, but the angle is so strange that you NEED to turn at just the right time and hit it at just the right angle so that you don't snag the edge of the switch instead of flying through the window. I don't quite fully understand the mechanics behind this jump but it's the kind of jump I haven't really seen before. It doesn't feel like a strafe-jump of any kind that I've encountered up to now.

As for the map, this one is really neat and I had a lot of fun recording it. This came about from me working on a Max route for this one but finding one is difficult since so many enemies can roam around. It's almost like E3M6 of the original UDoom in that respect.

Also, epic ending is epic. I didn't realize I only had 1 bullet left in my chaingun which slows me down at the exit but I manage to get the Demon to move and slide past the Baron and into the exit. Solid map, very enjoyable and a bit hectic at times.
