7The first stage of the Horde Mode II Mod done on Nightmare difficulty without dying or using an extra life.
The new Horde Mode came out very recently, and it's amazing and difficult as balls. The mod is split into three stages with each one getting more and more difficult. Even the first one was very hard to do.
The first stage is split into three major sections which I'll say some stuff about below.
1st Section - 0:00
2nd Section - 16:15
3rd Section - 23:30
Section 1: The Blood Maykrs are the biggest threat in the game so you need to take care of them ASAP. For the part after getting the rocket launcher and killing all the totems you want to kill the Tyrant as fast as possible because he is going to become possessed otherwise. For the Ballista part, killing the towers spawns enemies so you want to kill them one at a time, slowly. The totems here spawn infinitely but they do give health when killed.
Section 2: The key demons here always spawn in the same place (or most of them?) and in the same order, so you can memorize where everything spawns and do this super quickly. Some of them are easy to spot, while others can be a bit tricky.
The Carcass during the 4th wave, Whiplash during 8th wave and Cyber-Mancubus during the 9th wave are especially hard to spot.
Section 3: This section is probably the easiest in the stage. You just need to keep a mental note on when to shoot the targets to disable the totems and the rest isn't too bad. The escape sequence is also pretty easy. You could see a funny bloodpunch bug at 25 minutes where it launcher me forward a ton.
I fear the next two stages, because they are DIFFICULT.
