I enjoyed doing my Ultimate Doom pistol start runs so much that I started doing them for Doom 2 as well. I’m fully aware there are a few more irritating maps in this game but I’m willing to go through it all.

Rules I’ve set for myself again: I can’t use saves (I have to restart the attempt from the beginning if I die) and I must get all secrets in the map.

Anyway, here’s Entryway, the first map. I prefer it to E1M1 thanks to the cooler music and tighter design. Not much else to say about this map, though one thing to note, make sure you hit the right switch in the room with the armor secret, otherwise the platforms will lower and you won’t be able to access it. You can get a lot of these secrets out of order but I prefer to get the rocket launcher first so I can blow up the imps guarding the shotgun.
