Doom II - Legacy of Rust - The Vulcan Abyss [Pistol Start / All Secrets]
4I was really excited for this one. It did end up more inconsistent in style than what i would've liked, but nonetheless this pack is full of absolutely fantastic levels. Spirit Drains in particular is one of my favourite Doom maps. The lack of thematic consistence does have one good thing: it keeps every map unique and fresh. Fantastic.
Then there's The Coiled City. I don't hate it....i get what it's going for. But it's commitment to fucking up the player with questionable design choices, all of which are completely intentional mind you, has no place in a commercial episode. The soundtrack for the map is amazing though, but that goes for every map here, really.
