Doom RTX - Episode 1 [Nightmare!, 100% Secrets] - DLSS 4 Preset K
Doom (1993)

Don't sleep on Sultim-T's ray traced versions of these old shooters (He also did Serious Sam and Quake). This is real ray tracing (none of that screen space stuff) and created long before RTX Remix was a thing.

I'll admit I'm feeling a bit of hype creep in for Doom: The Dark Ages even though I prefer old Doom to new Doom.
I'm pretty new to Nightmare difficulty. Big thanks to Decino and Zero Master for making this genuinely cursed difficulty accessible to new players. I've learned a lot about Doom's quirks. I didn't use my monitor's crosshair feature. No vertical look and no crosshair; just as Lord Romero intended.
I really wanted to one shot it, but I'm happy enough for now. The perfect is the enemy of the good and I feel pretty darn good posting this as is.
Maybe I'll try and raw dog the whole game on Nightmare once I get a GPU that can run it without DLSS. Speaking of DLSS; the trails are brutal for this game even with DLSS 4. Looks good most of the time but high contrast, low detail, and simple animations are a nightmare scenario for A.I upscaling.
Either way I think this is a gorgeous version of Doom (especially firing rockets and Doom guy's shadow) and I didn't see anyone else post Nightmare Difficulty gameplay with it, so here you go.
I hope you enjoy, and thanks for stopping by! :D
