Doom Saturn version gameplay emulated with Beetle Saturn core (RetroArch)
25(English below) Gameplay de la versión de Saturn de Doom, emulado con el core Beetle Saturn (versión del emulador Mednafen, el mejor de esta consola) de RetroArch. Esta versión del legendario juego de id Software está considerada de las peores que salieron en la época, y bastante inferior a la versión de PlayStation.
El principal problema, ya se puede ver en el vídeo, porque el emulador es lo suficientemente preciso como para mostrar el pésimo framerate que tenía, rozando a veces lo injugable (y aun así, es mejor que el de 3DO). Además, aunque tiene la misma música (o similar) y efectos de sonido de la versión de PSX, carece de los sectores coloreados que fue seña identidad de la consola de Sony. Aun así, intentan darle el toque tétrico haciéndolo más oscuro que el original de MS-DOS, demasiado en ocasiones. Otro fallo es que la mayoría de los efectos de sonido solo se escuchan por el lado izquierdo, me informé y creo que esto no es un fallo de emulación, pero no estoy seguro al 100%.
En este gameplay muestro los primeros mapas de Doom y Doom 2 (esta versión venía con ambos, al igual que el de PSX). Le puse un filtro CRT para imitar como se vería en la tele, recomiendo ver el vídeo a pantalla completa o si no se ve raro.

Gameplay of the Saturn version of Doom, emulated with the core Beetle Saturn (a version of the Mednafen emulator, the best of this console) from RetroArch. This version of the legendary id Software game is considered one of the worst that came out at the time, and quite inferior to the PlayStation version.
The main problem, you can already see in the video, because the emulator is accurate enough to show the lousy framerate it had, sometimes bordering on unplayable (and even so, it's better than 3DOs). In addition, although it has the same music (or similar) and sound effects of the PSX version, it lacks the colored sectors that was the hallmark of that in the Sony console. Even so, they try to give it a gloomy touch by making it darker than the MS-DOS original, too much at times. Another flaw is that most of the sound effects are only heard on the left side, I checked and I think this is not an emulation bug, but I'm not 100% sure.
In this gameplay I show the first maps of Doom and Doom 2 (this version came with both, just like the PSX). I put a CRT filter to mimic how it would look on TV, I recommend watching the video at full screen or else it looks weird.
