DOOM SnapMap DOOM 64 Holding Area
6Ok, I get to SnapMap and see this one. Enjoy this video, I will begin.
"Design" - map looks good. Look at this place, it's remake of map 4 and author give for this lvl some new things. Look at place outside UAC base, looks like city, cool. First area remember original, but more big, more high and have more detalise. It's good, done great.
This buttons, really remember old classic buttons. Lvl now looks more highest, more detalisation for deads, places, corridors.
Author did big work with places and it's looking maybe better then original.
So, about rates. My rate is 10/10. Like always.
"Gameplay" - all enemies get from original, but I see some new things in gameplay. I begining you went to door and demons spawn, don't let you throw. Nice. In new doom gameplay much more difficult, and it's good to see how it's playing on new engine.
All fights like in origin, but with new things, some changes. This only better for this map. Only author need to replace spider to cybermancubus, but like I sad before - not bad.
Ok, my rate is 8/10. Yes, it's only remake from original, but it's good to play, fun and author add some new things. Good work.
"Remake" - what I can say - like always author did remake very good, carefully. It's original map, with some new things - we can see outside area in begining, lvl much biger now, more details for deads, more details for places, fight in begining start if you go to doors and other changes in fights. Only for better.
Author did big work with this lvl. Yes, he can't absolutely remake lvl from original, but it's done great and we see more details. Only spiders not enouth)
Ok, alse you can see in video, only I don't know secrets, watch video and I know how it looks in original and now. This good and original good. Choose what you like more.
So, my rate is 9.5/10. Yes, not 10, because map have some changes and author miss little things, but it's very good map. Only some one will like this more, some one - like more original. So, 9.5.
Avarage rate - 9.16/10. It's very good remake. I like it. Like always Spindleshanks did big work with map and he deserve good rates. If you want play original lvl in new packeging - play this lvl and give like, this map deserve that.
