DOOM SnapMap Redemptor MAP01 - To Slay
2Ok, that why another map crashing - I decide to play this one. Enjoy video, I will begin.
"Design" - ok, it's classic map. So, look at this places, looking very good and so remember classic style. I can tell. This huge walls like classic, classic textures, probs. Looking really good. I like this place with dead marines, cool, really like you not first in this place. Classic)
This classic arenas, classic spawn, switches. Only need to explore map to find secrets, switches and ways to throw out.
So, my rate is 10/10. I love classic and this map done very nice.
"Classic gameplay" - like always - do something, spawn demons, went to somewhere, here demons. No updates, only plazma and shotgun have, but it's no matter, no hp falling from demons - you need to find HP/armor/ammo, old classic gameplay. Explore and kill demons.
However, I play in insane difficult and demons teach me to fly or die in one hit. But, you can choose you difficult - normal and hardcore. It's good.
Another what I can say - that I stuck in walls, I mean not phisycal - BAM! and "oops", sometimes very small arenas or places and big count of demons.
So, my rate is 8/10. Gameplay is good, but "fly" and small arenas some spoil this classic gameplay.
"Classic atmosphere" - I think all of you remember classic Doom 1 & 2, there was atmosphere too. Not so good how can create now, but nice too, even today.
So, look at this places, sometimes it's outside, sometimes it's dark, sometimes you see Hell place - dead marines, faces of sinners and others. This places with human biomass, yes, biomass. Walls with human skulls, ancient stones, faces of demons, Icon of Sin.
Really like old good maps from Doom 1 & 2.
So, my rate is 9/10. Maybe need some more decoration, candles and others. Maybe. But now it's very good.
Avarage rate - 9/10. Good rate for good classic map. If you want some old classic style with moders gameplay, but with some thing from classic - play this map.
