“Doom the Dark Ages SUCKS because muh multiplayer” According to this guy
135It's over guys, Doom The Dark Ages doesn't have multiplayer therefore it's bad. Id Software should cancel the game and get on their hands and knees to beg for forgiveness for not providing us with a shallow, shoehorned afterthought of a multiplayer. Honestly, if a game doesn't need multiplayer, there's no point in wasting development resources and in case of Doom The Dark Ages, it is a net positive if those same resources are pushed towards the singleplayer campaign and singleplayer content in general when less than 10% of ALL people playing Doom 2016 even cared enough about multiplayer enough to reach level 5. And less than 2% cared enough to play for any moderate amount of time.
Just like clockwork, proving one of my previous Doom: The Dark Ages videos completely right, we have someone complaining about a complete non issue. Redditors did it first with Mick Gordon and now we have this guy claiming how DTDA is going to be bad because it (most likely) doesn't have multiplayer. And online multiplayer to be specific. As we'll find out, not only does this dude not know the difference between LAN and online multiplayer but he also doesn't know anything about video games or Doom in general.
Doom the Dark Ages finally got revealed in the Xbox Showcase and just from this first trailer, it already looks miles better than I imagined. Looks like I'm gonna commit another Doom Eternal and be playing this game religiously. Though this new Doom game definitely looks a lot different from Doom Eternal or any of the other Doom games but we'll have to get more news and some gameplay reveal in order to see the exact details. Looks like they're removing glory kills and switching up the weapon and enemy selection as well as adding mechs and dragons. I don't really care about the lore or muh secrets as the Doom lore went down the drain with Doom Eternal so as long as the gameplay is good, I'm good.
