I was RIGHT about DOOM: The Dark Ages (and addressing the “muh woke” drama ig)
Just like clockwork, proving my previous Doom: The Dark Ages video completely right, we have someone complaining about a complete non issue. Redditors did it first with Mick Gordon and now we have this guy claiming how DTDA is woke because of difficulty sliders. I don't really think there's anything too much of note to be said here since it's a typical case of politics obsessed Twitter being politics obsessed Twitter. No point in signal boosting them.
When it comes to the gameplay, I also predicted some things correctly in Doom the Dark Ages such as the removal of glory kills. Or at least the new glory kill system. And speaking of the new glory kills, here we get the first look at the resource management system. So you might have noticed these droplet icons below the crosshair as well as the icon between the health and ammo at the bottom. These are you super duper mega ultra powered melee attacks. You get up to 3 and they recharge on their own. Think of them kinda like blood punches from Doom Eternal. And essentially, whenever you perform this powered melee attack or a glory kill, enemies will drop ammo for you.
Doom the Dark Ages finally got revealed in the Xbox Showcase and just from this first trailer, it already looks miles better than I imagined. Looks like I'm gonna commit another Doom Eternal and be playing this game religiously. Though this new Doom game definitely looks a lot different from Doom Eternal or any of the other Doom games but we'll have to get more news and some gameplay reveal in order to see the exact details. Looks like they're removing glory kills and switching up the weapon and enemy selection as well as adding mechs and dragons. I don't really care about the lore or muh secrets as the Doom lore went down the drain with Doom Eternal so as long as the gameplay is good, I'm good.
