Doom: Tower of Babel level (remade in Garry's Mod!)
10I've been a classic Doom kick recently, and after facing off against the Cyberdemon in Brutal Doom, I wondered what the level might look like if it were remade today; specifically, in Garry's Mod. Four hours of scene-building later, and this was the end result.
For this remake, I wanted to upgrade the stage so that there was an actual tower in the center instead of a squat building, with the idea that the top of the tower had been destroyed at some time in the past, leaving a giant, mangled mess. For everything else, I wanted to do a remake that stayed true to the spirit of the original level without being a 1 for 1 remake. And while playtesting it, I was surprised at how cool it looked when it caught on fire!
If you look closely at 1:18, you'll notice the pillar shaking as the Cyberdemon bumps into it.
