It's time to blow some dust off it and revisit this gem, It may have been halted and it is unfinished but there's a lot I forgot to mention about this wad.. I wasn't thinking clearly last time.

The game in question was released in 1992, The same year as Wolfenstein 3D..In the game you play as Hugo from the Hugo trilogy of point-and-click video games shooting up monsters ranging from Frankensteins and Ghosts to cultists and Skeletons, This wad only features one level and then drops you into the base doom 2 levels.
You have the four weapons you remember from that game including the Plasma Gun, Revolver, Magic Wand and Rapid-Fire Plasma Gun, all 4 of them are scattered around this one level which is a combination of various areas, As before some doors are not openable and the keys for others are very very hard to find without noclip, Turrets kill you instantly.. most enemies can kill you in 3 or 4 hits.
Attempting to playthrough the base Doom 2 levels is impossible with the arsenal from Nitemare 3D.. The only weapon that does any kind of damage is the Revolver but the silver bullets run out quite fast, Ammo is also tight in this wad's only level so you'll be hurting for ammo running around being unable to attack, This mod's a bit better in GZDoom as you can look up and down better and the lighting is more faithful to software mode of the time, but this mod I still struggle to recommend.
