0*Yeah its the same mod.. But an new version so I figured I ought to cover this one too.
Brutal Doom is one of the best mods Ive played but not just for the violence and gore but because it makes Doom more deadly and more difficult, The newest version of Brutal Doom V21 Gold Edition makes the mod seem like it has an new paint color.
In this version, The new Revolver weapon which fires Shotgun shells is an beast, It also added in Skulltag's Railgun, The BFG10K, An Unmaker (inspired from Doom 64) and the Fire Axe which is carried by Civilian Zombies from Doom RPG, What makes V2.1 even better is the new level enhancer:All levels now are more detailed and contain new props or additions, The ability to go to the exclusive Doom levels from the Playstation verison, and several new enemies only found in specific iwads such as Ultimate Doom were added.
Difficulty changes may turn some players away, You now have options such as Easier Black Metal, Brutal Realism Mode, or Easier Hurt Me Plently, SGMarkIV added this after V2.1 RC10 testers weren't happy about insta death if shot or melee attacked before they could respond, Thus this version has the changes, Even though that was an issue I like the V2.0 for the "Vanilla feel" But in terms of content and enjoyment on harder wads like Resurgence, I like this one better...
