9The Long forgotten Gem of Dos Mech Gaming ... when games length was dictated by it difficulty system ... on Easy you only got like 6 missions out of 16 (4 zones with 4 missions) ... on hard you got the whole game ... the only other modern game, that still used this logic was Knack ... that depending on the difficulty changed its maps ... then do a lame thing of changing the enemies to be a bullet sponges
So what about this game well ... the FOV at first kills you , the DOS version is only 640x480 ,the Win95 version in 800x600 but... the FOV never changes ....and the Win version is only 256 colours .... so why bother with higher resolution ...
If you kinda see the slow downs in this game, well ... its a PC game that was designed to be played like a Console game ... from a CD , that at the same time reads DATA and Tries to play the CD-Audio music ... so no Saves of any data on the HDD ... so the configuration that has to be set by hand , every time you start this game ... but to save its face , it has a password system IF you play at the Hard Difficulty .
Other then that it should be noted , that each of those 16 maps have a different game design so you don't get bored so easily ... and the music was created by Jesper Kyd
This is my accidental LP of the Easy difficulty ...the next Video has the Hard one ... but only 8 levels ... and you get my passwords so ... you could try your luck ... if you care haha
