As you all are most likely aware, Dota 2 has a new mode, the Year Beast Fight! A mode where you take on Nian, the Year Beast! A boss creep who could own Roshan easily. This is a hardcore mode and not as easy as Wraith Night. In addition you do need to grind up at least some Flamesalt ingots from public games, including bot matches though. Flamesalt ingots are converted to gold in the mode. You use to buy everything you can including new items like Force Boots or fireworks to distract the Beast. You all start at level 16.

This is one attempt at the Year Beast me and Miru attempted, the rest were pubbies but we did ok. This was tier 4, so we had quite a bit of ingots! This was after they patched out all the craziness you could do with Ursa and Wraith King and the Visage glitch. So we have none of those advantages now and if there are any exploits we were not aware of them.

I went with Warlock, he is quite good for the Year Beast Fight. He can fatal bonds the horns and tail, summon golems to attack or resurrect allies, heals and with refresher you can do it all again. This run is NOT flawless and of course we had issues. DP for one isn't the best Hero for this mode, Lifestealer would have been far better but oh well...

I enjoy the mode, but it's not as great as Wraith Night and not easy to play constantly, if you spent all your ingots well..You either do low tiers or just gotta get some more.
