Zeus presents Double Dragon (un-emulated) for the Megadrive, a true classic from the golden era of megadrive gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Year of release: 1992

Probably the most convincing home computer / console version of the arcade out there, graphics are almost identical to arcade, so is the playability, sadly the sound fx are awful...they sound wooshy (if that's a word), and the punch & kick noises that made the arcade version so cool are not here, it sound like you're kicking a bag of coins to the point it ruins the game.
Another good thing though is there is no slowdown when many characters appear unlike the arcade and the 2 player option is obviously a good thing as I found after playing through it once in 1-player mode I got bored on the second run.
All in all a good version with all the moves and special moves included but the sound fx does spoil the fun, for a megadrive i'm sure they could have found better ones to choose.
