SpecialEffect Founder and CEO Dr Mick Donegan was joined by Karen Dolva, Co-founder and CEO of No Isolation, to speak at the United Nations Global Assistive Technology Conference in 2020.

Dr Donegan used the invitation as an opportunity to spread the word about the benefits of using telepresent robots, both in and out of the classroom, as a result of SpecialEffect's BubbleBusters project for children such as Benjamin, who has leukaemia and is unable to attend school due to his immune deficiency (https://bit.ly/3f5LJ0r).

Karen described the care and attention to detail which goes into the unique design of her company’s AV1 robots and how the lives of many thousands more children, globally, could be transformed by this ground-breaking technology.
