The setup for map glitch (the 1st method in the video) is very similar to the setup in Dragon Age Origins, but the timing is tougher with button presses. Also, due to precise timing, what worked for me talking to the bartender at the Hanged Man might not work the same way in another area. Map glitch will probably work elsewhere, but the timing to get it right might be dependent on your location. (the timing was always the same in Dragon Age Origins).

The effects of map glitching are probably very similar to DAO. Have a cutscene occur at the same time as loading an area. In DAO, you'd either end up out of bounds or at a random spot inbounds depending on the location and the cutscene.
