To upgrade a faction merchant, you need to increase your reputation with that faction. This can be done by:
Completing main and side quests associated with the faction.
Selling valuables to the faction merchant; each valuable sold provides a small boost to faction strength.
Gather Required Resources:
Upgrading a faction merchant requires specific materials, which may include:
Gold.
Resources like Heartwood, Pure Ore, Flawless Crystal, and Imperial Weave.
Upgrade the Merchant:
Interact with the faction merchant and select the option to upgrade their shop. Once you've provided the necessary faction strength and resources, the merchant's shop will be upgraded, unlocking better items and gear.

Strategic Selling: Selling valuables to a faction merchant not only provides gold but also increases that faction's strength, which is crucial for favorable outcomes in the game's final act.
Faction Choice Impact: Choosing to save Treviso will result in the Shadow Dragons merchant becoming inaccessible for the rest of the game, while choosing to save Minrathous will render the Antivan Crow merchant inaccessible. However, in Act 2, a Wisp Merchant will appear in the Crossroads, allowing you to continue supporting the affected faction.
Resource Gathering: Resources needed for upgrades can be found by defeating enemies, looting chests, and exploring the world.
