Dragon Ball Daima is finally here. The question is... did it live up to the expectations?

It's been 6 long years since we've enjoyed some weekly Dragon Ball anime together. But finally, here in October 2024... the wait is over. Dragon Ball Daima has arrived, and weekly HYPE is back!

We all know the concept of the show has been divisive to say the least: Goku turns back into a kid. I believe we've seen this once before? Despite the iffy concept, there is much to look forward to: This show has been in the works for well over a year. With such an incredible, long production schedule behind it, AND the involvement of the great Akira Toriyama... my expectations were high going in. The concept may be unoriginal, but could an all star team of artists and Toriyama's story telling muscle come through and save the day?

So join me as we take a look together at Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1 - Conspiracy. We look at the new additions to the lore, a new cast of characters, retcons, and of course.... that glorious, BEAUTIFUL art and animation. Oh and you better believe there will be GT comparisons. Lets find out together if Toriyama was able to do the impossible: Take the GT concept and make it interesting!
