Kakarot and Vegeta are on their return home from a victory on another world; meanwhile the Grand Minster plots a hostile take over, along side Syn Shenron, Mecha Frieza and Metal Cooler.

Arriving shortly after Kakarot and Vegeta have departed, they spare no time sowing chaos. The Grand Minster, with Syn Shenron watch as Frieza and Cooler dispatch Garlic Jr; after he steps forward to face the mechanized onslaught in Gohan’s stead.

Kakarot returns to a war striking, broken and devastated world; his son slain, no sign of his wife or other comrades.

What will Kakarot and friends do now? Who else will join the ranks of friend and foe?
