It has been almost 20 years since this game was released. If you’re like me, growing up as a dragon ball z fan in the late 90’s and early 2000’s Budokai 1 was probably one of your first exposures to a dbz game.

And what an introduction it was. As a kid, I loved this game. It had it all: stunning 3D visuals, a cinematic story mode, mini-games, piccolo.…loved it.

But it's been a long since I've played it, and it's not a game I've returned to as frequently as I did with Budokai 2 or 3.

So after all these years and many sequels later, does Budokai 1 still hold up? Let’s find out together
