Hey, remember this? No?! ...honestly, neither did I for awhile. But I swear it's still cool! It's still kinda not entirely moldy and whatnot! Probably! Just eat around the blue spots, you'll probably be fine.

Was I right about burning out, though? Yeah! I'm super predictably... unpredictable... and unable to keep to a schedule! Although I think it's easy to tell when it'll happen if you look for the signs... maybe. If you're here, you're either used to this gross mistreatment or completely unaffected by it on an archive binge. (Either way... you poor thing!)

My extremely patient and now twice-blindsided adversary is once again Lombardi88:

The BGM is indeed still locked on The Meteor. I'd be more sorry if I wasn't just so... ... ...well, kinda weirdly enthralled by the game in general. This all does a really bad job of showing off what it can do, but that's because the game itself is riddled with some boggling context-heavy mechanics with minimal feedback between pulling off awesome Z Fighter maneuvers and... just looking like some kind of dope, gaping at every energy blast or fist that sends your face to "another dimension"...

What was I supposed to do... pfft, study? Practice?! ... ... ...you're serious? Well, good luck with that. (You'd have to time travel back to 2016 to get your money back from some slacker of a past-me anyway. Past-me continues to suck! Make a note of it, future-me who also probably sucks!)

Match #01: Planet - Evening
General Blue [Lombardi88]
vs. Nappa (Great Ape) [MsMutou]

I realize that the previous video demonstrated that Dragon Ball characters from any point in the series as of the game's development were up for grabs.

That said... not even General Blue deserved this. His face can take a lot of punishment. That's good to know!

I'm not really good enough at the game (least of all while playing it slightly underwater and flailing about somewhat meaninglessly while I attempt to convince the game to do what I want) to properly comment, but I believe that giant characters aren't ACTUALLY impossibly overpowered, but I can't say as it's reasonable to expect people who possibly haven't played the game since the last "NEVER AGAIN!" situation (while underwater!) to play the game with enough grasp on the finer points of timing required to allow this to happen...

Plus, I mean, did you see how many extra life bars Nappa gets in this state? Not cool!

---

Match #02: Rocky Area - Night
Saibaman [Lombardi88]
vs. Zangya [MsMutou]

Yeah, I'm not actually sure I understand how they decided where the life bar counts would fall, because they're suggesting the humble generic Saibaman should have the same number as Zangya? ...who both furthermore share that health standard with General Blue?

Dragon Ball games aren't usually known for being paragons of game balance, often wont to let attempted adherence to source material override their sense of fair play... but then who REALLY wanted a Saibaman to beat Broly or Appule to stand a chance against Beerus? ... ... ...wait, I think both those ideas sound fantastic! ... ... ...

---

Match #03: Muscle Tower
Android 18 [Lombardi88]
vs. Burter [MsMutou]

One thing I love more than most details Dragon Ball video games tend to be sticklers for is taking otherwise one-off locations from earlier on in the series and turning them into set dressings for games involving characters that would never have known the places they're fighting ever existed. Plus you can totally destroy Muscle Tower itself every time you visit, depending on the game!

I feel like in this instance, it feels like we're actually using... maybe half the game's mechanics and potential for battle and starting to approach... a somewhat watchable fight now and then? Y'know, instead of fighting the game. Maybe. Both are fun, but I feel like one might be less boring to watch than the other.

(Not that I care, this was a technical test! That turned out to be kinda fun! ...somehow? It went on for a really long time, and I consider that damning praise... ... ...waiiiit...)

---

Match #04: City Ruins - Night
Vegeta (Great Ape) [Lombardi88]
vs. Cui [MsMutou]

Remember Cui? ... ... ...yeah. Good. (He's got higher stamina than Zangya, too?!)

Another thing that totally makes giant characters a bit of a Beef Gate is that they can't be grabbed or rush attacked by normal-sized opponents. Oh, and if your ultimate attack needs a rush attack trigger... welp, sucks to be you! You can FEEL the total abandonment of all hope and the weight of crushing despair as it hits me-- I mean Cui! Yes, Cui.
