Dragon Marked For Death - Solo Empress Playthrough - Part 72: The Trampling Lance Bonus Boss Fight
6The quest to grind levels and unlock the higher levels of boss quests continues as we fight one of the Named Monster bonus bosses! In the "Lost In White" quest at level 50, a second blue gate will appear next to the clear gate after completing the objective. This gate leads to an optional boss fight against a super-powerful level 100 monster known as The Trampling Lance, which is basically a superpowered version of Wind Equus. He has two tornadoes swirling around him when he charges at you, so you have to time your jump over him perfectly. But you don't want to jump too high or else you'll hit the giant tornado blowing above you. When he neighs, he'll throw out two massive tornadoes, one to the left and one to the right that start at your position and move all the way across the arena. He'll do this twice, so what you want to do is back away from him a little bit, then as the tornadoes are forming, get in close and slash him. Then back up again for the second wave and do the same thing. He also has an attack where his hooves kick up two waves of tornadoes that go across the floor and then go up. Unlike the Wind Equus boss fight in "Unearthed Royalty", you have less room to work with here, so you can't just move to the far edge to avoid it. You have to move one tornado's length away from the far edge, jump over the first wave, then jump again when the second wave comes and move to the side as the first wave goes up. The timing is harder than it sounds.
