Previously, Heorot and friends explored Blossom Bay, another Explorer's Shore. They brought back a Dog, a Great Sabrecub, and a new human resident. Now, Heorot will set off for the next story island.

After resuming at the Pyramid in the Scarlet Sands, Heorot makes a Tempest Shield for himself. The Tempest Shield recipe comes from defeating the super-strong Cumaulus on Iridescent Island.

Also, Heorot builds an Animal House, a bedroom for one or more animals. An Animal House requires at least one Pet Bowl, at least one Pet Bedding, and at least one Haystack, all of which can be found under Farming Equipment.

After the work, Heorot finishes up the Animal House (time 3:45). He completes the Scarlet Sands Tablet Target to build an Animal House. The Hairy Hermit rewards him with Mini Medal #030. The hermit also tells Heorot how to use an Animal House to breed dogs or cats. Heorot has fulfilled 10 Tablet Targets, so the Hairy Hermit upgrades the Transform-o-Trowel. It will now lay down a lot of blocks at once. When Heorot satisfies 10 more Tablet Targets, the Hairy Hermit will give him a Magic Pencil.

Afterwards, Heorot warps to the Mountaintop (time 6:01).

There, he delivers his latest haul of Mini Medals to the Hairy Hermit (time 6:14). For hitting a total of 30 Mini Medals, the hermit rewards him with a pair of Rabbit Ears. At 34 Mini Medals, Heorot will earn a copy of the songbook 'Traveller's Tunes'.

Then, Heorot reports to the Hairy Hermit (time 7:06). Heorot has finished the requirements to build a Pyramid and an Oasis in the Scarlet Sands. Errand complete! Now, it is time for Heorot to visit a new island in search of soldiers and defenses: Moonbrooke.

Heorot warps to the Dock (time 8:47).

Upon arrival, he talks to Captain Brownbeard for an errand (time 9:01). Brownbeard has found a new large island.

Before you set out for Moonbrooke, you will want to unlock all the infinite supplies that you can from the available Explorer's Shores. They will make Moonbrooke a lot less tedious. The infinite supplies of Coal and Iron from the Sunny Sands are especially useful.

Heorot talks to Brownbeard again (time 10:04). Moonbrooke appears in the west of the map. Heorot sets sail for this new island. As usual, Heorot must leave his possessions behind, aside from what he has equipped. The player earns the trophy "Sandy Grandee" for completing the required Tablet Targets in the Scarlet Sands. Lulu arrives to see Heorot and Malroth off. So do the other residents of the island, though the game does not show them. As Heorot, Malroth, and Brownbeard sail away, the Hairy Hermit has a curious monologue.

After the sailing/loading, the ship arrives at Moonbrooke, billed as the Land of Ceaseless Strife (time 13:16). The initial overworld music from Dragon Quest II plays here. Curious; I do not remember the Moonbrooke area having so much snow in DQ2. The mysterious voice torments Malroth (and the player) again. Then, a local approaches them. Heorot's level cap increases to Level 30.

After gaining control, Heorot speaks with the blue-haired soldier (time 16:06). Learning that Heorot is a builder, the soldier introduces himself as Warwick. He asks Heorot and Malroth to follow him.

Heorot follows Warwick up through a cave. There are Medicinal Shrubs and Frogstools to find along the way.

Warwick guides Heorot to a small shelter (time 18:50). There, he introduces Heorot to none other than the King of Moonbrooke. Errand complete!

Heorot talks to the King for the next errand (time 20:15). A nearby soldier, Anessa, is suffering from poison. The King tells Heorot to gather Medicinal Leaves and Frogstools and use them to make Antidotal Herbs at the nearby workbench.

At the workbench, Heorot makes some Antidotal Herbs. A set of 3 Antidotal Herbs requires 1 Medicinal Leaf and 1 Frogstool.

Heorot hands in an Antidotal Herb to the King (time 21:13). After administering the Antidotal Herb to Anessa, the King explains what is happening. Errand complete!

For the next errand, Heorot speaks with Anessa (time 23:06). Now, Warwick wants Heorot's help in reclaiming Moonbrooke Castle's throne room. The King recommends Heorot make some Medicinal Herbs. Good advice.

Afterwards, Heorot follows Warwick into the castle.
