Previously, the party visited the humble hamlet of Slewse northwest of Burrowell. There, the opened the Floodgate to gain access to the Tower of the Moon. Then, they climbed the Lighthouse on an island south of Tantegel and northwest of Moonbrooke. There, they got the Star Sigil. Then, they got the Subtle Shuttle in Zahan's Shrine. They took the Subtle Shuttle and Celestial Skein to Don Calico in Slewse and got the Flowing Dress. Finally, they took their five Sigils to the Shrine of Rubiss in the sea south of Midenhall and acquired the Eye of Rubiss, which will let them see through Hargon's illusions. Now, they will travel to the southwestern island and visit the town of Beran. Then, they will do some grinding.
The party resumes in Midenhall.
They Zoom to Burrowell. They sail west from there. When they reach the large southwestern island, they disembark along the southwestern shore.
Then, they head into Beran, a town on a peninsula in a crescent lake. The town itself is on the water. Useful hints abound here. In the southeast building, there are an armoury, an item shop, a bank, and, in the back room, a Tombola game. The party can save with the man in the northwestern house.
In the northeast cell, the prisoner is surrounded by nasty damage floors. Be sure to use Safe Passage before talking to him.
In the southwest, the party rests at the inn. Unfortunately, when they wake up, Thomas of Cannock is feeling poorly. They talk to him. Then, they administer their Yggdrasil Leaf to him by using it on him in their inventory. He recovers right away and rejoins the party. Whew!
In the temple in the middle of the town, there is the priest that provides the usual resurrection, poison-removal, and curse-removal services. Behind this priest, a Jailor's Key door leads to a teleportal that goes to Rendarak. The party will take this dangerous route much later.
Afterwards, the party Zooms back to Burrowell. They sail east from there to Yggdrasil's island. On the island, they examine Yggdrasil for another Yggdrasil Leaf.
Now, it's grinding time. The party will start by revisiting the Lighthouse to visit an NPC atop the tower.
The party Zooms to Tantegel. After resting here, they sail south to the Lighthouse. They head to the very top of the tower this time. To get there, they go up the stairway in the southwest room in the interior of 1F. On 2F, they go up the next stairway to the south.
On floor 3F, the party follows the corridor northeast and then goes north into an interior hallway. Past the large Gold Key door to the north, they ascend the next stairway to 4F. On 4F, they continue north and up the stairway to 5F.
Thomas of Cannock reaches Level 23 and learns the spell Sizzle. This is an upgrade of Sizz.
To the south on 5F, the party continues up to floor 6F. They head north and up to 7F. On 7F, they go south and up to 8F.
Floor 8F is the top of the tower. There, they talk to a soldier keeping watch on the Hall of Hargon. His description of Rendarak is not promising, but the party will find a way in.
When they are done here, the party drops out of the tower. Then, they Zoom to Burrowell.
In Burrowell, they visit the armoury. They pick up an Aurora Blade for 16,000 gold and give it to Davilas of Midenhall. In this edition, Thomas of Cannock can also equip it. The party sells back Davilas's Sledgehammer, since Thomas cannot use it.
The party Zooms to Midenhall to rest.
Then, they Zoom to Slewse. They do the next part of their bulk grinding in the hills just south of the hamlet.
At Level 18, Isolde of Moonbrooke learns the spell Evac.
After some time, the party heads south and crosses the boat to reach the Tower of the Moon. They do the rest of their grinding on the tower's first floor.
At Level 25, Thomas of Cannock learns the spell Kabuff. This boosts the entire party's physical defense.
When the party has finished grinding, they Zoom to Midenhall to sell some loot, rest, and save. Davilas of Midenhall is at Level 27, Thomas of Cannock Level 25, and Isolde of Moonbrooke Level 20. Next time, the party will explore the Tower of the Moon and the Sea Cave.
Thanks for watching!
