Final Fantasy XI #328, Wings of the Goddess: Into the Beast's Maw; Flight of the Lion

Previously, Heorot continued the Wings of the Goddess storyline. He carried out Wings of the Goddess Mission 32: "Storm's Crescendo". Now, he will continue the story, starting with Mission 33: "Into the Beast's Maw".
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in present-day Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives payment for a stack of Wind Crystals that sold on the auction house. However, he also gets back a Gigas Helm and a pinch of Dried Mugwort that did not sell. Then, he heads outside.
Bastok Mines (time 1:27):
Heorot goes to the auction house and puts his Gigas Helm and Dried Mugwort back up for sale. Then, he teleports to Home Point #1 in Xarcabard [S], Valdeaunia Front.
Xarcabard [S] (time 3:03):
Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at H-9. He rides northwest.
He examines the Rally Point: Red at F-8. He must now join the Allied force in their strike on Castle Zvahl for Wings of the Goddess Mission 33: "Into the Beast's Maw".
So, Heorot continues riding west. At D-7, he examines the Zvahl Portcullis and chooses to enter the Castle Zvahl Baileys [S].
Castle Zvahl Baileys [S] (time 6:59):
A long cutscene sequence takes place when Heorot enters Castle Zvahl Baileys [S].
After the scenes, Heorot gains control at J-8 on the first map of Castle Zvahl Baileys. Just past the gate, he examines the Survival Guide at J-8 so that he can teleport to it in the future.
At G-7, Heorot examines a Peculiar Glint. This triggers another lengthy cutscene sequence. Things are certainly not going as the Allied forced hoped. Heorot receives the Distress Signal Flare temporary key item, which is needed to enter the upcoming battlefield.
After the scenes, Heorot examines the Peculiar Glint at G-7 again. He chooses the objective "Into the Beast's Maw". This consumes the Distress Signal Flare. If he fails and needs another, he can examine one from the nearby Ornate Block, but he can only obtain one per Vana'diel day. Heorot is transported to Ghoyu's Reverie.
Ghoyu's Reverie (time 23:57):
It is boss time against Count Bifrons, a demon. Bifrons is accompanied by two Orcish Manglers and two Orcish Muscles. The players have time to summon Trust NPCs and buff before engaging the enemies.
Count Bifrons can cast spells like Firaga III, Sleepga II, and Bindga. The Orcs can be put to sleep fairly easily. However, when the count casts Firaga III, any sleeping Orcs will wake up. The good news is that Count Bifrons is not especially tough. When Count Bifrons is defeated, any surviving Orcs will fall immediately.
After the battle, Heorot is returned nominally to Castle Zvahl Baileys [S].
Castle Zvahl Baileys [S] (time 27:24):
A cutscene takes place after the battle.
Wings of the Goddess Mission 34: "The Hunter Ensnared" begins. Heorot must regroup with the San d'Oria forces in Xarcabard [S].
He casts Warp to return to present-day Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 34:44):
Heorot teleports to Home Point #1 in Xarcabard [S], Valdeaunia Front.
Xarcabard [S] (time 35:11):
Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at H-9. He rides northwest.
He examines the Rally Point: Red at F-8. This triggers another cutscene sequence. Things are not looking good at all.
Wings of the Goddess Mission 35: "Flight of the Lion" begins. It is time to head back to Jeuno in the past.
Heorot casts warp to return to present-day Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 45:57):
He uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Garlaige Citadel [S], Aragoneu Front.
Garlaige Citadel [S] (time 46:35):
Heorot arrives at the Survival Guide at G-7. He takes the nearby exit to Sauromugue Champaign [S].
Sauromugue Champaign [S] (time 47:12):
Heorot gains control at H-11. He rides north.
At F-6, Heorot examines the Bulwark Gate where the entrance to Port Jeuno is in the present. A long cutscene sequence takes place. Poor Ragelise.
Wings of the Goddess Mission 36: "Fall of the Hawk" begins. The next objective is to follow Ragelise and Portia to Castle Zvahl Baileys [S].
For now, Heorot casts Warp to return to Bastok Mines in the present.
Bastok Mines (time 58:28):
He heads to the residential area.
Mog House (time 59:20):
After a little inventory management, Heorot signs off. Next time, he will continue the Wings of the Goddess mission line, starting with Mission 36: "Fall of the Hawk".
