Previously, the party made their way north from Arkbolt Castle in the real world and found the desert town of Aridea in the dream world. It is time now to explore this town and see what's wrong. The party will have to talk to everyone to advance the plot. Apparently, there is this place called the Isle o' Smiles. This place sounds too good to be true, if you ask me. Apparently, a small floating island that appears off the western cape on the night of a full moon is the key to getting there. Aridea itself seems not to be in the best of shape. Water itself is in very short supply here.
In the house attached to the item shop in the southeast, there is a chest of drawers containing Wayfarer's Clothes (time 3:49). Yippie skippy.
One of the armour shop's offerings is the Tortoise Shell, which offers a few more points of defence for Nevan. The Shellmet offers another token upgrade. In the weapon shop, Milly can pick up a decent upgrade in the Lunar Fan.
In the small rectangular house in the west, one of the southeastern pots contains a Holy Water (time 7:47).
In the Z-shaped northwestern house, a pot in the northeast of the kitchen contains Mini Medal #016 (time 10:07).
After the party has talked to all the townspeople in Aridea, night will fall over the desert (time 14:44). Time to investigate this floating island business, so the party leaves town (time 16:17).
Northwest of town, the party finds the Mobile Island, which was not there before (time 17:35). On the gangplank, the minister type will invite the party aboard with a sales pitch for the Isle o' Smiles.
To progress, the party must chat with the helmsman (time 19:47). The Mobile Island will ... get underway! Only in a dream world, I guess.
Afterwards, the party heads into the galley at the back (time 21:36). Several of the people that were in Aridea are in here. However, there is something most suspicious about the staff waiting on them. And unfortunately, the northeastern stairway is being blocked. The bookshelf behind the bar has an interesting book named 'Hidden Treasure', but sadly the juicy information has been removed.
The northwest barrel behind the bar contains Mini Medal #017 (time 31:15).
Before progressing, make sure to prepare the party for a boss battle.
To progress, the party must chat with the bartender (time 31:28). They must accept two mysterious drinks and then choose to rest. Then, they will be underway to the Isle o' Smiles.
Thanks for watching!
