Previously, the party finished up in the Baccarat Casino with 618,900 tokens earned on the Roulette tables. The gross earnings are actually more, considering Jessica's Gringham Whip and everyone else's Liquid Metal Armour. Now, I will take advantage of a trick that I learned from Veteran0121's Let's Play to earn a lot of gold.

In the PS2 version, the old trick was to visit the Baccarat Casino prize counter, buy large numbers of Prayer Rings, and sell them in a shop. However, in the 3DS version, there is a better method: making Kunoichi Headbands in bulk and selling them.

After resuming, the party Zooms to Pickham (time 2:26).

They visit the prize counter in the Pickham Casino (time 2:59). They pick up 302 Agility Rings at 1,000 tokens apiece. Davilas and Red equip two of them. The rest stay in the bag for future use.

Then, the party Zooms to Peregrin Quay (time 4:23).

They visit the southeast item shop in the town market (time 4:59). They buy 99 Bandanas at 45 gold apiece.

Next, the party Zooms to Orkutsk (time 5:19).

They visit the Orkutsk armour shop during the day (time 6:12). They pick up an Iron Headgear for 5,500 gold.

Then, they go to the Alchemy Pot (time 6:28). They make 99 Mercury's Bandanas (Bandana + Agility Ring). The bulk processing is even better than it was in DQ9, where you could only make 9 items at once.

They also make a Kunoichi Headband (Iron Headgear + Mercury's Bandana).

The Kunoichi Headband sells for 10,000 gold apiece (time 7:35). That is a net profit of 4,455 gold, not counting the cost of Agility Rings. What's good about the Kunoichi Headband is that the rarity remains the same regardless of how many you sell, so the sale price never goes down.

The party continues buying Iron Headgears, making Kunoichi Headbands, and selling them. Eventually, they have sold a total of 99 (time 15:00).

The party Zooms back to Peregrin Quay (time 15:42). Now, they pick up 200 Bandanas at the southeast item shop (time 16:15).

Then, they Zoom back to Orkutsk (time 16:57).

They visit the Orkutsk armour shop (time 17:36). There, they pick up more Iron Headgears to alchemize. They alchemize the Mercury's Bandanas, then the Kunoichi Headbands. Then, they resell the Kunoichi Headbands.

Eventually, they have made and sold a lot more Kunoichi Headbands (time 21:50). This gives them over 1,300,000 gold. They keep one around for Red. I believe it is is used in a costume change for her.

The party also gets Red an Ice Shield for 8,500 gold.

Note that you need a minimum of 548,955 gold to buy 99 Iron Headgears and 99 Bandanas for this trick. You may want to store that gold amount in the bank as seed money or keep the ingredients on hand. Carry weight is obviously not an issue in this game.

At the inn, the party rests until evening (time 23:35).

In the evening, they visit the weapon shop (time 24:32). They pick up a Dragonsbane for 11,000 gold.

Then, they do a little alchemy (time 25:00). First, they make a Mighty Armlet (Strength Ring + Titan Belt). Then, they make a Dragon Slayer (Dragonsbane + Mighty Armlet). This is an improved version of the Dragonsbane. It is more effective against Dragon-type enemies and is good all around. Red equips the Dragon Slayer.

Then, the party will work on making Catholicon Rings. My hope is that these rings will help the party in the next boss battle, which is kind of nasty.

First, the party Zooms to Baccarat (time 26:41). They hit the inn and rest until morning.

They visit Baccarat's equipment shop (time 27:46). They pick up 6 Poison Needles at 1,900 gold apiece.

Next, they visit the Baccarat Casino prize counter (time 28:17). They pick up 6 urns of Saint's Ashes at 5,000 tokens apiece.

Then, the party Zooms to Pickham (time 28:50).

They visit Pickham's weapon shop (time 29:26). They get 6 Poison Moth Knives at 950 gold apiece.

Next, they Zoom to Argonia (time 29:50).

They visit Argonia's normal equipment shop (time 30:22). They pick up 6 Partisans at 4,400 gold apiece.

Then, they visit the bazaar item shop across from the equipment shop (time 30:45). They pick up 18 Gold Rings at 2,000 gold apiece. Yes, that's 18.
