Previously, the party took advantage of a trick to make Kunoichi Headbands and sell them to earn a lot of gold. They also made Catholicon Rings for everyone, and they made a Zombie Slayer and a Dragon Slayer for Red. Now, they will use the Illuminated Sea Chart to get to the Godbird Isle. They will take care of a couple of errands first.
After resuming, they Zoom to the Mystical Spring (time 1:16).
A scene takes place when Davilas gets Medea to drink the spring water (time 2:53). I wonder how young they were when the event she describes took place. Yes, Munchie is quite a special little mouse, isn't he?
Next, the party Zooms to Orkutsk (time 4:16).
They visit the armour shop during the day (time 4:52). They pick up an Iron Headgear. Jessica unequips her Scholar's Cap.
The party does some alchemy (time 5:20). They combine Jessica's Scholar's Cap and the Iron Headgear. This makes a Thinking Cap, an upgrade over the Scholar's Cap. Jessica equips this.
Now, it is time to get underway. The party Zooms to Neos (time 6:41).
South of town, they board the ship (time 8:40). They sail west towards the X marked on the zoomed-out map.
As they approach the X-shaped reef, they use the Illuminated Sea Chart (time 10:15). On the map, a sea route now appears. The route goes southwest from the X-shaped reef to the southwestern landmass.
Then, a scene takes place as the party enters the X-shaped reef (time 10:41). A route is traced on the surface of the sea from the reef to the southwest landmass.
We regain control of the party aboard the ship after the scene (time 11:36). The party must follow the traced route without deviating from the white lane.
A scene takes place as the party approaches the forbidding northern cliff of the southwestern landmass (time 12:19). I get a kick out of Yangus and Trode. Fortunately, the party land on a hidden beach. Welcome to the Isolated Plateau! Lovely place. A proper weird happening takes place after they step off the ship.
After the scene, we gain control of the party on the island's northwest beach (time 13:46). Unfortunately, there are no Great Sabrecat mounts to summon here. It sucks when you're used to Sabrecats. Or dashing in DQ11.
Northwest of the landing, there is a red chest on the beach (time 15:57). This chest was not in the PS2 version. It contains Mini Medal #087.
East of the landing, the party finds a path leading up from the beach to the plateau.
Partway up the path, there is a rather flat area with three or four trees. There should be a cow here, but for some reason, the cows on this island do not always appear. The party will be back to visit this cow.
After reaching the plateau, the party can continue north to find a blue chest overlooking the sea (time 26:14).
Southeast of the head of the trail leading to the beach, the party finds the entrance to the village of Empycchu (time 26:45). Empycchu is now on the Zoom list, and the Empycchu and Isolated Plateau Challenges appear in Cameron's Codex.
The party Zooms to Arcadia (time 28:09).
At night, they visit the vendor at the Mystery Mart (time 29:15). They pick up the merchant's third Seed of Skill for 12,000 gold. They administer it to Morrie to give him 5 skill points. Morrie puts them into Passion for a total of 64.
The party Zooms to the Hilltop Hut (time 30:13). There, they rest and save.
Next time, they will explore the Isolated Plateau.
Thanks for watching!
