Davilas the human is currently carrying out the storyline for Gaatoranto, the Ogre capital. He has gone out to the Ajito Hideout in Giruzaddo and defeated the charming Juriante. However, when he got back, Mariin revealed herself to be a monster and abducted the king! Davilas must now head over to the Oruseko Arena to clobber Mariin.

Davilas starts out by hiring some party members at the pub.

When he is ready, he leaves town for the Gaatoranto countryside (time 4:40).

Out at D-4, there is a farming spot for Cotton blooms (time 5:29).

On a ridge at D-4, there is another farming spot for Cotton blooms (time 6:41).

At B-4, he exits west to the Oruseko Highlands (time 7:24).

On a ridge at F-6, there are farming spots for yarn (time 8:10).

In the northeast corner of E-6, there is a farming spot for what could be glass frits (time 8:37).

On the ridge at D-5, there is a black chest containing 3 monster horns (time 10:54).

At B-4, there are more farming spots for yarn (time 14:14).

In the western mountain, by entering the southwest entrance at C-5, Davilas can reach a black chest in the tunnel at C-5 (time 16:52). It contains dragon horn.

Along the western wall at A-5, there is a black chest containing a magical beast bone (time 19:38).

At the base of a cactus at B-6, there is a farming spot for Sleeping Hibiscus (time 20:21).

At C-7, Davilas enters Oruseko Arena (time 20:44). Just inside, there is a cutscene with Mariin and the Ogre warriors she has abducted. Among the abductees are Jiiganfu and Arorudo from the Rangao storyline, not to mention King Gurosunaa and the unfortunate Sir Spindle. The Dragon Quest IV arena music is simply awesome.

After the scene, Davilas can get to exploring Oruseko Arena (time 23:08). Not a bad little dungeon.

In a little room at D-7 on the first floor, there is a gargoyle guarding a black chest (time 25:05). The gargoyle is fairly dangerous because it can cast Kacrack. This AOE can make standing together a bad idea. On the other hand, the Wizard Ward ability from the Mage's Spellcraft skill is a good way to reduce magic damage. The gargoyle also likes to boost its defense with Buff.

After defeating the gargoyle, Davilas opens the black chest at D-7 (time 26:49). It contains a Blue Eye.

At E-8, Davilas leads his party downstairs to B1 (time 28:28).

At G-7 on floor B1, there is a black chest containing 710 gold (time 29:18).

By a cave-in at E-6, there is a farming spot for Flintstones (time 29:38).

At C-5, Davilas goes upstairs to a tiny room on the first floor (time 30:24). It has a black chest guarded by a gargoyle. Swell.

When it is defeated, Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 45 (time 31:59).

At At B-5 on the first floor, the black chest contains a Red Eye (time 32:49).

Back down on floor B1, in the far northwestern room, a black chest is guarded by another gargoyle (time 36:02). I sense a theme.

The black chest at B-3 on level B1 contains a Finessence (time 38:33).

At C-4, Davilas proceeds downstairs to floor B2 (time 39:13). This is just a straight pathway.

At D-5 on floor B2, there is a black chest with 3 Magic Vials (time 41:03).

After preparing, Davilas leads the party through the important-looking door at F-5 (time 42:04). The ugly desire Mariin tries to get her "minions" Arorudo and Jiiganfu to strike Davilas down, but the brave Maiyu appears to knock some sense into them. I always knew I liked that girl.

Then, it falls to Davilas and his party to fight Mariin (time 44:26). Mariin can deploy a mildly painful explosive attack with her club's hammer functionality. Defense-boosting abilities are very helpful in this battle, but watch out for Mariin's disruptive wave. Raise the party's attack power with Oomph and have at it. Because of her disruptive wave, it is not a good idea to bunch up around her.

At the conclusion of this battle, another scene takes place (time 49:11). The scen reveals what Mariin actually is: Pyuuju's doll. Pyuuju takes the doll and the sinister amulet, and leaves. Then, the enslaved Ogres return to their senses, including King Gurosunaa. The king directs everyone back to Gaatoranto Castle.

Davilas gets another Super Genki Ball from the chest that Mariin dropped (time 51:25). After collecting it, Davilas zooms right out of the arena to Gaatoranto.

In the next episode, he will head into Gaatoranto Castle once more to pick up his well-deserved Key Emblem. Then, it will be off to the Elf capital.
