The party has reached the Oil Cave via the submarine caves north of Epro. They are here in search of Power Oil so Professor Raile can make their ship fly. After breaking in with the Oil Key, they have made their way down to floor B2.

Just north of the stairway, they use the ladder to go down to the lower part of the floor.

In the northwest, there is a chest containing a Dragon Tooth (time 0:21).

In the north-central area, there is a chest containing a Hi Potion (time 1:19).

In the southeast, there is a chest containing a Swing Wing (time 1:28).

They go back and climb the ladder to the plateaus. On the north-central plateau, there is a chest containing an Ex Bomb (time 3:01).

On the central plateau, there is a chest containing a Hi Magic (time 3:11).

The party can take either stairway down to reach B3 and the boss. I have them go down the stairway on the northeast plateau (time 3:23).

The ladder just east of the stairway leads down to the low western floor. In the northern section of this floor, a chest contains a Miracle (time 5:09).

Back on the plateau, the party can go around north and climb down a ladder to a middle plateau. A chest there contains a Dragon Tooth (time 7:16).

Jerin reaches Level 38 (time 8:29). She learns Glacier, the third-tier ice-elemental spell. It hits all "of" enemies.

To the east of the arrival stairs, a ladder leads down to the eastern section of the floor. The boss is plain to see in the eastern depression.

In the southeast, there is a chest containing a Hi Magic (time 10:24).

Max reaches Level 44 (time 12:10). He learns Succumb, an instant death attack against a group of enemies.

In the eastern depression, a chest on the western side contains a Great Arrow (time 13:38).

After preparing, the party approaches the boss, the Oil Dragon (time 14:14). His Fire Air is a fire-elemental magic attack against the entire party. It has two levels. The stronger level can do over 100 points of damage to each party member. His physical attack is not too bad, especially if directed on one of the men. He also uses Dash, a stronger physical attack. Oily Air lowers the party's agility.

If I had had any sense, I would have given Max or Aguro the Dragon Ring, which boosts damage against dragons. Lufia and Jerin knowing Boost is essential to the party's survival. Mirror is a satisfying way to deal with the damage from his Fire Air, though it does not last long. Mirror is more effective when Lufia and Jerin both know it. Max can use Trick to boost damage output from himself and Aguro, and he can use Fake to boost the party's agility. Max may need to cast Champion in case of emergency.

At the end of this battle, Lufia reaches Level 43 and learns Succumb (time 19:09). Of course she would learn Succumb... Anyway, Aguro reaches Level 41.

Afterwards, the party can open the chest that the Oil Dragon was guarding (time 19:48). It contains the Power Oil, their objective.

Now they can get out of this place. They walk back and fight to earn gold and experience. Casting Escape would be faster, of course.

When they are finally out, they Warp back to Epro (time 28:05). There, they rest and save.

Next, they will head to Professor Raile's fourth lab, Frederia, to see if the professor can really make their ship fly.
