Previously, Davilas the human unlocked the Armamentalist (Mage Knight) vocation in Verinaado and the Luminary (Superstar) vocation in Megisutorisu. Today, he will unlock Gladiator (Battlemaster) and Sage.

To get started on Gladiator, he takes the train to Rakkaran, the entertainment capital (time 1:58).

Note that the NPC who issues the Gladiator unlock quest will want one Antidotal Herb (どくけしそう) and one Wakerobin (めざめの花). Both items can be bought at item shops.

Over in Rakkaran, Davilas first checks his mail (time 3:56).

Then, he heads into the Coliseum at C-6 (time 5:01). Within, he heads down the southern stairway at E-7 (time 5:39).

In the pub downstairs, he finds Jeikofu (time 5:51). Sanbitaria gives Davilas Mini Medal #146. Counting the 43 he has already spent, he is currently at 103 medals.

Then, Jeikofu talks to Davilas (time 6:13). He requests the Antidotal Herb and Wakerobin.

Davilas then hands over the Antidotal Herb and Wakerobin (time 7:10). He issues Quest 177 and provisions Davilas with the Ordeal Bangles. Davilas must remove his weapon, equip the Ordeal Bangles, and kill five Dead Peckers in the Northern Verinaado countryside. The Ordeal Bangles will further complicate things by reducing Davilas's accuracy.

Davilas heads over to the Wedi capital, Verinaado (time 11:18). He takes the eastern ferry to the Northern Verinaado countryside (time 13:07).

Dead Peckers are Beakon types that tend to appear in the west of Northern Verinaado (time 14:20). You have to have the Ordeal Bangles equipped, no weapon, and deal the final blow to each Dead Pecker. Putting skill points into Fisticuffs is pretty helpful. However, your allies can soften them up beforehand. Dead Peckers like to cast Dazzle, so having a Priest along to remove Dazzle is helpful. If you can Oomph yourself and Sap the Dead Peckers, that will help, too. Multiple Dead Peckers may be killed in a single battle.

Later, Davilas has killed the last of the Dead Peckers (time 27:08).

He then heads back to Rakkaran with the train in Glen (time 28:36). There, he heads back into the Coliseum (time 30:42).

Down the southern set of stairs, he talks with Jeikofu again (time 31:16). Davilas earns the privilege of becoming a Gladiator! Yes!

After finishing the quest, Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 56 (time 32:36). He earns 2 skill points, which he puts into the Minstrel's Litheness skill for a total of 76.

Davilas next heads over to the Dwarf capital, Doruwaamu (time 34:29). He heads into the castle (time 35:17).

In the room at E-2 on the third floor of the castle's northern wing, he finds Tiiza (time 37:02). Sanbitaria gives Davilas Mini Medal #147. Counting the 43 he has already spent, he is currently at 104 medals. And since Davilas has pestered 35 people on her behalf, she rewards him with 10,000 gold! Now that is a tidy pile!

Afterwards, the sagely Tiiza issues Quest 178, the Sage unlock quest (time 37:50). The first objective is to talk to Aania.

Aania is downstairs in the room at E-2 on the second floor (time 40:07). She is examining a tablet that depicts an owl. Her task is one of the easiest yet: to kill three Metro Ghosts. Metro Ghosts inhabit a cave north of Juretto on Upper Jure Island. There are some outdoor places where they can appear, but that only happens at night.

So, Davilas hops a train to Juretto, the first Wedi hub city (time 42:36). After hiring a new supporting cast, he heads out the eastern exit to Upper Jure Island (time 46:52).

At B-2, he finds the entrance to Jureria Abandoned Mine (time 48:16). The Metro Ghosts are very hard to see, but they are there (time 48:40). Fortunately, there is no need to kill them in any special way.

After an exceptionally short time, Davilas kills all three Metro Ghosts (time 50:13).

The next objective is to talk to Aania again. So, Davilas leaves the cave and zooms back to Doruwaamu (time 51:32). Before making his report, he changes vocations to Level 18 Martial Artist (time 52:40).

In the room at E-2 on the second floor of the castle's northern wing, he talks with Aania again (time 54:30).

Afterwards, he reports into Tiiza at E-2 on the third floor (time 56:46). He rewards Davilas with the privilege of assuming the Sage vocation!

Upon concluding this quest, Davilas reaches Martial Artist Level 19 (time 58:23). He earns 4 skill points, which he puts into the Martial Artist skill Focus for a total of 25. At 22 points, he learns a new ability (心頭滅却). It translates roughly to "Clearing Mind" and gives a buff. I believe it's Mind Over Matter, which protects against breath attacks. Unlike Psyche Up, Clearing Mind can be used in any vocation.

Next, Davilas will unlock Monster Master and raise the level cap to Level 65.
