Previously, my protagonist Heorot visited the village of Headwaters west of Lockhart Castle and got a Copper Sword and Chain Mail. He heard tell of Magic Keys being sold in Sagamore, the city to the north of Headwaters. However, Sagamore is under siege. Heorot is currently at Level 7 and has learned the spell Sleep.
So, now it is time to travel northwest to Sagamore. Along the way, he drops in on Headwaters again (time 2:49). At the tool shop there, he stocks up on several Herbs.
From Headwaters, he goes north, across a bridge, and farther north. There are some more dangerous enemies past the bridge. However, they are worth more experience and gold than previous enemies. The Sleep spell will be pretty useful here.
Eventually, Heorot arrives at Sagamore (time 7:12). Right away, he is thrust into a battle against the monster ravaging the town, a Panther. This is a normal monster, but it's stronger than most of the foes around Sagamore. Put the Panther to sleep, and attack away.
After the battle, Heorot can explore Sagamore (time 8:34). It is kind of the analogue to Rimuldar. The highlight of this town is the southeast shop, which sells Magic Keys (time 9:10). I recommend buying as many as you can afford.
The weapon shop in the southwest has several good upgrades available (time 10:29). The Hand Axe for 560 gold is the best immediate upgrade. The shop also has the Broad Sword for 1,500 gold. Several types of body armor are available, as is the Large Shield.
Around town, there is all kinds of useful information. There is a tunnel nearby that leads to the central continent. There is an important temple town called Darby. Also, there is some old wise man living in a cave north of town. Finally, there is ominous mention of a town called Santanoni.
With one Magic Key, Heorot can bet through the door west of the inn (time 11:45). Behind another door within, there is a chest containing a Fighter's Ring (time 12:13). The Fighter's Ring increases attack power by 2.
Outside of town, Heorot grinds a little so he can rest and buy some more Magic Keys (time 15:38). Heorot gets a couple more Magic Keys afterward (time 18:43).
Afterwards, he makes his way back to Lockhart Castle (time 23:25).
In the northwest of the castle's main floor, there is a treasure room that can now be entered (time 23:52). The treasures include: a Magic Key, a Torch, a Wings, an Herb, 65 gold, and 50 gold. A halfway decent stash.
Then, they go through the northeast door to the back section of the floor (time 24:57). Folk here have information about the fate of Santanoni. A guard has useful information that the prince snuck into the castle vault before setting out. Also, it seems the prince reached the holy continent to the north before vanishing without a trace. A wizard has some information about a brutal creature called the Guardian. It is weak to a Magic Medallion, evidently.
One man has a critical hint about fishing on a peninsula to the east (time 25:41). He saw something on the ground. Unfortunately, a monster scared the poor fellow away. Sounds like something Heorot should check on!
There is a Magic Key merchant back here (time 25:56).
There is a Magic Key door just west of the Magic Key merchant (time 26:35). Take great care on the electric field between the door and the stairway. Ouch!
Heorot then heads downstairs (time 27:06). To get into the center room, he must go to the southeast corner, up two tiles, and then west. The chest within contains an important item, the Scrolls (time 27:22).
Then, Heorot returns to Tannery (time 28:38). A Magic Key can be used to enter the back room of the northwest building (time 28:48). This grants access to the Fairy Water shop. It sells Fairy Water for 38 gold apiece. Fairy Water repels weaker enemies for a short time.
Looks like it's time to grind for gold to purchase equipment.
Thanks for watching!
