Previously, Davilas finished leveling his Ranger vocation up to Level 50. Now, he will finish up the Ranger vocation quest line.

Outside of Azlan, he takes the wagon north to Morinara Forest (time 1:59). Inside the Ranger hut at A-8, he talks to Poranpan (time 2:52). Supiru comes out for a chat, and then Poranpan issues Quest 109, the Level 50 Ranger task.

Afterwards, Davilas takes the exit at C-4 to the Green Sanctuary (time 7:41). There is an albino Treeface here. Supiru pops out to talk, and then it is time for a fight.

Davilas and company fight the Spirit Tree of Hatred (time 9:19). This evil tree has a nasty leaf slash move that damages allies for about 75% of their HP within its area of effect. It also has other magic attacks at its disposal, including Kaswoosh. However, the Mage ability Wizard Ward will cut down significantly on this damage.

To defeat this boss properly, the Ranger's coup de grâce, Brownie Boost or "Fairy Polka", needs to be used in the course of the battle. I was trying to get the coup de grâce to activate in this first attempt. But perhaps the battle script prevents the coup de grâce from activating the first time around.

Anyway, a scene plays out after defeating the Spirit Tree of Hatred (time 20:23). The tree will emit bad vibrations, sending Davilas back to the southern entrance to Morinara Forest! Nuts.

After another schlep, Davilas goes through the exit at C-4 to the Green Sanctuary again (time 23:49). After a line of dialogue, Davilas and company fight the Spirit Tree of Hatred again (time 24:16). This time, Davilas manages to get the Ranger coup de grâce.

A different scene happens after the evil tree is defeated properly (time 26:39). This time, it fails to blow Davilas away to the forest entrance. Supiru will go into the evil tree, and both will disappear.

So, Davilas returns to Poranpan in the Ranger hut at A-8 (time 31:52). Poranpan rewards him with the Proof of Ranger badge. Quest 109 complete! Yuugiri and Reinosu show up for a few words. And the party even gets some free rest. Very good.

After the scene, a final montage plays to close out the quest line (time 35:03).

Davilas concludes the video with some errands, including putting his Ranger stuff in storage and putting some stuff up for sale. He stays at the inn in Glen to get to Fame Level 29 (time 42:54).

Before signing off, Davilas gets himself transported to Juretto (time 45:21). Next time, he will start the catty extended story quests for Juretto.
