This video continues directly from the previous one, video #082. Previously, Davilas the human began Quest 174 to expand his inventory to 40. He is waiting for the needed time to pass before he talks to Touto again. He also carried out a gate quest to exterminate some Skullgaroos threatening Gatara. That was truly a hazard to life and limb. Yes, I'm being facetious. Now, he will carry out the quest to unlock Special Training mode.

In the southwest training yard of Glen Castle, he talks to trainer Ranbaba at D-6 (time 0:36). After Davilas responds "Yes sir!" three times, Ranbaba will issue Quest 130. This requires Level 50 in a vocation.

After accepting the quest, Davilas must head to a hut out in Beckon Valley. This is a very dangerous quest, so be sure to deposit your hard-earned gold into the vault.

Davilas changes vocations back to Level 56 Minstrel (time 3:39).

Then, he takes the exit to the Western Glen countryside (time 4:24). To the west, he heads north into Beckon Valley yet again (time 5:55).

The first objective is in the hut at E-4 (time 8:25). Within, Davilas talks with Guragado (time 8:41). Guragado will assign Davilas to get an item from Nekurobarusa enemies.

The Nekurobarusa enemies are the big guys wearing togas and wielding whips (time 10:36). They have insane attack power. Worse yet, they can increase their strength with Oomph, and they have a nasty AOE meteor attack. If you have a way to reduce their strength, such as the Blunt spell or the Attack Attacker ability, use it. It looks like a max HP of 250+ will help each party member survive his attacks. Defensive buffs will help, as well. Bring plenty of curative items and good equipment.

What truly bugs me is how easily they were smacking around my stronger party members.

Finally, Davilas gets the quest item he needs from a Nekurobarusa (time 24:01). The quest item is a Devil Horn.

Davilas returns to Guragado in the hut at E-4 (time 25:50). He takes the Devil Horn and sends Davilas back to Ranbaba in Glen Castle.

Davilas zooms back to Glen (time 27:01). He changes vocations back to Level 22 Martial Artist (time 27:52).

Then, he heads into Glen Castle (time 29:13). He reports back to Ranbaba at D-6 (time 29:45). After saying "Yes sir!" a few more times, Davilas gains the ability to enter Special Training mode! This is primarily a way to get something out of defeating monsters when you've reached your level cap.

After the quest completion dialogue, Davilas reaches Martial Artist Level 23 (time 31:14). He puts his skill points into the Martial Artist's Focus skill for a total of 36. At 34 points, he gains a boost of 30 to "Subayasa," which I believe is Agility.

Davilas zooms back over to Juretto (time 31:20). He can now move on with Quest 174, the second inventory expansion quest.

In Juretto, he goes down the well at G-3 and talks to Touto (time 32:19). Over 30 minutes have passed since he turned in the Mud Leathers, so we are ready to continue this quest. Touto has a bag of stuff that he needs Davilas to deliver to Chaaron, a merchant in the encampment in Southern Verinaado.

So, Davilas heads out to Upper Jure Island (time 34:03). He hitches a ride north to the encampment in Southern Verinaado (time 34:19). It's really nice that the map name is included in parentheses after the camp name.

Charon is the item merchant at E-8 in the Southern Verinaado encampment (time 35:13).

After making the delivery, Davilas zooms back to Juretto (time 36:37). Down in the well at G-3, he talks with Touto once more (time 37:12). Touto expands his inventory. Davilas can now carry 40 stacks of items.

Afterwards, Davilas zooms over to Glen (time 39:43). He rests up from his tribulations. At the pub, he changes back to Level 56 Minstrel (time 41:43).

Then, I try to show off Special Training mode. I know that it allows the player to gain stamps instead of experience points, but I'm not quite clear on the requirements for obtaining the stamps. I'm thinking that you have to defeat certain specific enemies that are on par with your level.

After screwing around a little, Davilas goes back to normal mode (time 45:36).

Then, he heads over to Glen's train station (time 46:38). A scene will occur when you first talk to a train conductor after returning to human form. This is shown in video #064.

A new mystery location is currently shown on the train's destination list. Davilas will check out this mystery location in the next episode.
