Alright, let's clear some things up here! Since my previous FaF video, I've managed to improve my time by almost 9 seconds (down from 45). Sadly, the game doesn't seem to allow for times quicker than 40 seconds. An interesting choice indeed, most likely to avoid cleaning up players using speedhacks and what not doing 1 second runs (it will most likely happen), so anyone trying that simply won't get a time quicker than ~40sec or so.

So, what are we seeing here? After I had my 45 sec run, I managed to improve that down to a 43:50 or so, still using the Black Demon. But then another player (now Club member) managed to beat me with a 42 second run so I thought I'd bring the alt army and try stuff. Because sometimes during the races I've felt the acceleration following a drift went up by a lot. But I didn't know how so I went in with 5 characters á 4 runs each and tried everything I could think of. Slingshotting the car through corners, tapping drift, holding drift, late drift, early drift. Wide corner or narrow corner. You name it, I tried it. It was then I realized, the drift feature is bugged. Turns out the longer you hold the drift button following a corner, the car will keep accelerating. As if that's not enough, by closing the start screen prior to the race and gently moving forward, you will also alter your starting position by a car length. Keep in mind that the angle of the car may differ, so if you're unlucky you'll face 90 degrees to the left / right. Another change is the car of choice, and I find Guide the only suitable for the job, due to it's bonuses to turning and stability. It may be the slowest car if you drive normally but we don't, so the slow speed is compensated by the drift boost. However we loose control (a bit like driving around with the handbreak active, except in 250km/h+.

Anyways, over the course of the past days there's been a fierce battle between myself and the other player (jasif) of who could break the 40 sec barrier. Turns out, neither of us could. Some observations I've made while trying is that if you fly into the goal (you can reach 500 km/h in the last stretch), the car will get ported back in a standstill position, costing you about 4 sec at least. If you drive in normally, and have a sub 40 time, that will automatically become a 40:xx time. I don't know what decides the tenths and hundreds but I got lucky and got a clean 40:00, which appears to be the lowest time possible.

Oh, and the software you see me using is part of the ASUS ROG Phone 2, called AirTriggers. Look it up!

Hm, and one last thing. To those wanting to call this cheating, PLEASE try it yourself first and tell me it's unfair. Because now you and everyone knows how to do it. So show me how much easier it became. That's right, it just got harder. A bit like bringing a F1 car to the go-cart track, trying to do the quickest lap possible. It sure takes some practise, especially with the limited amount of tries per day.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed it! And who knows, maybe the devs could change the minimum time to 30 sec? Would be fun to push this further, officially speaking.
